London (United Kingdom): A proud moment for the Indian legal community was witnessed when Vinay Kumar Dubey, Chairman of the VKDL NPA Advisory Council, owner of V K Dubey Associates, and Supreme Court Advocate, known throughout India for his legal and social work, having served on the Official Language and Hindi Advisory Committee of the Ministry of Skill Development and the Ministry of Home Affairs of the Government of India was specially honored at the 2nd International Bar & Bench Badminton Championship held at Dormer’s Wells Leisure Centre in Southall, United Kingdom.

This prestigious international event was attended by senior advocates and honorable judges from the Supreme Court of India and various High Courts, as well as numerous eminent personalities from the social, political, and industrial sectors. The event was also graced by the presence of Naveen Jindal, a renowned Indian industrialist, Chairman of Jindal Steel & Power Limited (JSPL) and Lok Sabha MP from Kurukshetra.

Advocate Vinay Kumar Dubey, recognized nationwide for his significant contributions to the social and legal sector was a special highlight. Dubey, who has played an active role in the areas of banking, NPA resolution, legal awareness, and social service for years, was honored for his outstanding contributions.

The event was hosted by Solicitor Advocate Harjot Singh, Director of London-based Twinwood Law Practice, and Ms. Abantika Deka, a former international badminton player. The event, organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Law & Justice, Government of India has provided a new impetus to dialogue and collaboration between the legal communities of India and the United Kingdom.

The event began with the playing of the national anthems of India and the United Kingdom, followed by various badminton matches. Advocates and judicial officers from India and the United Kingdom participated enthusiastically in the competition. The event showcased a remarkable blend of sportsmanship, mutual cooperation, and professional camaraderie.

At the closing ceremony, advocates and honorable judges from various states across India, including Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and Mumbai, were honored. Industrialist and Member of Parliament Mr. Naveen Jindal and Advocate Vinay Kumar Dubey were also given special recognition. The audience greeted them with thunderous applause during the felicitation ceremony.

Advocate Vinay Kumar Dubey (V. K. Dubey) is a legal professional based in Mumbai and Delhi, renowned for his expertise in civil, criminal, and NPA advisory matters. He primarily practices before the Bombay High Court and various trial courts. He also actively practices before the Supreme Court, handling various high-profile cases related to the banking and industrial sectors under the DRT and NCLT. He serves as the Chairman of the VKDL NPA Advisory Council, has served as member of the Hindi Advisory Committee under the Government of India, and has also been conferred the designation of Special Executive Officer (SEO) by the Government of Maharashtra. He is also the Head of the Mumbai-based law firm “V K DUBEY ASSOCIATES,” which operates under the motto “Justice for All.” He specializes in resolving Non-Performing Asset (NPA) cases, banking laws, and civil/criminal disputes, while simultaneously spearheading social initiatives through his various trusts. His hard work in the legal field and his contributions to society have garnered significant appreciation. Furthermore, Mr. Dubey owns two additional law firms—VKDL Corporation LLP and United Legal—which are dedicated to banking, corporate, and settlement matters, and collectively possess over a decade of experience in the legal domain.

He has also founded the ‘Brahmin International Business Orientation (BIBO) Foundation,’ the ‘Brahmin Ekta Manch Charitable Trust,’ and the ‘Gyanoday Seva Samiti,’ through which he engages in social welfare activities. He also serves as the National Legal Head of the ‘Pradhan Mantri Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan Sangathan’; he is affiliated with the BJP and is regarded as a grassroots-level leader. He is actively involved in philanthropic initiatives, including cattle protection and welfare, as well as the management of the ‘Kumari Mamta Devi Charitable Trust’ and the ‘Gyanoday Seva Samiti’—organizations that focus on providing aid and education to the underprivileged. In the years 2024 and 2026, he was honored with various awards for his legal and social work, including the “Popular Civilian Icon of India Award.”

His work focuses specifically on supporting the community through legal aid and social empowerment initiatives; he often integrates his social work—conducted in Pratapgarh, Uttar Pradesh—with his professional base in Mumbai.
